The red tuna under threat!

As part of its European plan to safeguard the Mediterranean red tuna, the retailer Auchan and its shops Atac and Simply Market pledged to stop selling this species in all its shops in France in December 2007. In exchange, customers can buy three other types of tuna which are not under threat of extinction. The shops offer brochures in their aisles to raise awareness and explain the consequences of consuming this endangered species.
