Less water at Air France
26/08/2008
Since 2003, Air France has set up a system to reuse the water during its maintenance activities. For this, aeroplane rinsing methods have been optimised. The water is reused thanks to the replacement of the water table pump system by closed-circuit systems or alternative systems. Controlling the process and giving the technical staff a sense of responsibility has considerably contributed to a reduction in water consumption, which went from 954 000 m3 in 2004 to 794 000 m3 in 2006.
