Researchers estimate that 80 percent of the deer population on Funen has died from a mystery illness and are calling on hunters to help gather samples

An unknown illness has killed thousands of deer on the island of Funen over the last few years and with the hunting season about to start the Danish Nature and Forest Agency (DNFA) is enlisting the help of local hunters to solve the riddle.
