Rodolphe De Koninck is a geographer from Quebec with a special interest in Southeast Asia. Mr. De Koninck was a faculty member of the Geography Department at the University of Laval in Quebec City from 1970 to 2002. He is specialized in Southeast Asian geography with a focus on both the green revolution and how small farmers spearhead national land use, as well as the array of development strategies implemented in Asia. He is the author of 18 books, editor of some 20 others, and has published over 160 scientific articles in 12 different countries, in five languages.
In 2002, Rodolphe De Koninck was named Canada Research Chair in Asian Studies. He is currently a professor at the University of Montreal
