Hooray for taste!

The « Slow Food » organisation (thus named in contrast to « fast-food ») whose symbol is a snail is promoting a return to biodiversity and a taste education. The organisation set up in 1986 in Italy is divided into « conviviums » (« feast » in Italian), local groups which organise tasting workshops, themed dinners and visits to producers. There are 40 conviviums in France through whom one can book an appointment with a « tomatologue » to (re)discover the varieties of tomatoes which can no longer be found in our plates.
