Some companies based on the cooperation principle have original and fair wage practices. The Chèque Déjeuner company thus operates on the principle that the highest salary should never be 6 times more than the lowest. In addition, in this company which makes 2.8 billion Euros, everybody knows how much everybody else earns but without having to compete. Each person, as a member, can take part in the company’s decision-making according to the principle of « one man equals one vote » (« un homme égale une voix »).
