The Canadian company Triton Logging Inc has developed a saw which can cut tree trunks underwater up to 300 metres deep. Indeed, more than 300 million trees have been flooded at the bottom of the reservoirs of hydroelectric dams. The wood which is gathered has is specially certified. Its quality means it can be used for construction as well as for furniture. Th saw’s motor funtions with vegetal oil and solar power.
