Emmaüs International

Emmaüs International is the universal legacy of Abbé Pierre. A solidarity movement for laymen founded in 1971, the organisation aims to allow the most disadvantaged to (once again) take charge of their own lives by helping others. The movement has more than 300 member organisations in 36 countries developing economic activities and solidarity with the poor. Moreover, it runs five priority action programmes: access to water, access to healthcare, ethical financing, education and migrant rights.
