Fighting Child Labour

In Morocco, UNICEF and its partners are trying to reduce the number of children who work in the craft industry sector in Fez. Since 2000, 685 children who are under 12 have thus been able to stop working; 80 % were girls hired to weave carpets. For those aged 12 to 15, who stay in the workshops, UNICEF encourages informal education classes as well as better working conditions.
